Tamie Maffeo - Spa and Fitness Liaison
Tamie specializes in an integrative approach
to orthopedic massage therapy, combining myofascial release,
intrinsic joint mobilization and active/passive isolated stretching
combined with traditional Swedish and deep tissue massage, designed
to treat soft tissue dysfunction.
Tamie holds an associates of studies from the NY College of Health
Professions, located in Syosset, NY. The program is an intensive
1,500 hour training program, focusing on western science and eastern
philosophy. Tamie is a licensed massage therapist in NY and MA
as
well as a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
Before relocating to MA. Tamie owned and operated a successful
private practice on Long Island. Her practice grew from referrals
primarily from physicians, physical therapists,
chiropractors, midwives, coaches and personal trainers. Her client
list included members of the NFL, NHL, and UFC. She also had the
privileged of working with Harvard University's Men's Swimming and
Diving Team while they were competing on Long Island.
Tamie's techniques have been featured on the Today Show (Weekend
Edition); Channel 12 News, Long Island & Channel 55 News, Long
Island. She truly loves what she does and it shows! |
